DESCRIPTION:Join us for our May open house. Our track is battery only. Feel free to bring a train & try our new line extension. Avoid bringing long rolling stock the line extension has a 8 ft radius.  We’ll be serving finger sandwiches\, salad and chips. Plenty of soft drinks & water will be available and of course a few sweets to top it off. There is lots of room & plenty of shade. Our lot sits well off the street down a fairly long driveway with parking for around 12 cars and of course street parking as well. We look forward to seeing a lot of train enthusiasts.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome aboard\, the Cascade Peak & Buena Vista Railway. This Disney Parks inspired garden railroad is located only 4 miles east of Santa Margarita. The CP&BV Ry hosts open days for the general public as part of the annual Central California Railroad Festival. During this Train Run event\, guests are encouraged to bring their battery\, DCC and DC track powered large scale trains to operate on the line. This is also a perfect time of year to view spring wildflowers found in abundance in the surrounding area.

Everyone is invited to bring your favorite holiday treat for a holiday treat exchange with friends. Mark and Sheila Goodman have reimaged their backyard large scale layout bringing the trains up close and personal. The A & M Railroad is a favorite among CCCGRS members\, as well as the general public who visit during the annual Central California Railroad Festival. For this Train Run event\, guests are encouraged to bring their live steam and battery powered large scale trains to operate.

DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with the 2021 Central Coast Railroad Festival\, we welcome festival participants to an open day at the Cascade Peak & Buena Vista Railway. A Disney Parks inspired garden railway\, the Cascade Peak & Buena Vista Railway will never truly be finished\, but the Main Street Trolley\, perimeter loop\, and Mine Train through the Living Desert are now complete and operating. Placeholders exist so visitors may visualize future additions. \nThis garden railroad covers 2\,300 square feet. The “grand circle tour” loop comprises 275 feet of the total 365 feet mainline. Locomotives and rolling stock collected from Denver and Rio Grande Western still operate under that historic herald on this tourist destination line. \nOur guests are encouraged to explore the sights\, scenes and sounds of the miniature landscape. The closer you look\, the more you see. We look forward to your visit!

DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with the Central Coast Railroad Festival (CCRRF)\, the Central California Coast Garden Railroad Society (CCCGRS) invites our community and visitors to learn more about the creative hobby of large scale model railroading. On Saturday only\, our group will operate an outdoor display at the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum featuring the trains and scenery that are always popular with our young guests: the circus train and circus big top! A few surprise trains are sure to join the fun. Stop by the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum and say “All Aboard” to our hosts during this limited time display. \n \nBut there is more! Exclusively for Central Coast Railroad Festival participants\, several garden railroads operating at our members homes will open for public viewing throughout the 3-day festival. It presents historical\, educational and recreational events for local citizens\, the area’s large population of second home owners and visitors. The visibility of all local rail entities as well as railroading in general is elevated and enhanced by the Festival. A cooperative spirit is developed among all participating organizations to promote their mutual well being and to expand interest in all things rail!
