The Bitter Creek Western Railroad is a privately owned 7.5-inch gauge railroad operated for the benefit of children of all ages who enjoy playing trains. DESCRIPTION:Welcome aboard\, the Cascade Peak & Buena Vista Railway. This Disney Parks inspired garden railroad is located in rural Santa Margarita. The CP&BVRy hosts open days for the general public as part of the annual Central California Railroad Festival. During this Train Run event\, guests are encouraged to bring their battery\, DCC and DC track powered large scale trains to operate on the line. This is also a perfect time of year to view spring wildflowers found in abundance in the surrounding area.

DESCRIPTION:The Crown & Summit garden railroad features two separate loops of track totaling approximately 600 feet in an elevated 20 foot x 30 foot tree-shaded setting. The inner loop is narrow gauge with an Old West theme. The outer loop is standard gauge reflecting the 1940s and ’50s. Trains operate on both track and battery power. Jim Davis has been an active member of the Central California Coast Garden Railroad Society since 2001.

DESCRIPTION:This is the annual sale event that should not be missed by anyone interested in large scale model railroads. \nNew\, pre-owned and one-of-a-kind large scale model railroad equipment and accessories will be available. If you are looking for something specific\, we suggest calling in advance to confirm availability. \nThis year\, see the Wandering Railroad. Visit one-on-one with representatives from various garden railroad manufacturers\, including Bachmann\, LGB and PIKO America. \nTehachapi is only a 3 hour scenic drive from the central coast. While in town\, make sure to visit the historic Tehachapi Depot. A visit to Kohnen’s Authentic German Bakery will never disappoint. If you are interested in seeing the world famous Tehachapi Loop along your journey\, take a detour off CA-58 onto Woodford Tehachapi Road for the best views and historic markers.

If you are looking for something specific\, we suggest calling in advance to confirm availability. \nThis year\, see the Wandering Railroad. Visit one-on-one with representatives from various garden railroad manufacturers\, including Bachmann\, LGB and PIKO America. \nTehachapi is only a 3 hour scenic drive from the central coast. While in town\, make sure to visit the historic Tehachapi Depot. A visit to Kohnen’s Authentic German Bakery will never disappoint. If you are interested in seeing the world famous Tehachapi Loop along your journey\, take a detour off CA-58 onto Woodford Tehachapi Road for the best views and historic markers.
