102. Cementina Family Railroad

Deer Creek is a village from the 1900’s in the California Sierra Mountains. Activity at the station, a bluegrass band and a wedding at the chapel are a few of the vignettes you will discover. The layout was created in honor of Dennis Cementina who passed away in 2022. Rachel, who grew up enjoying her Dad’s garden railroad in two previous homes, really wanted the guests at her wedding in this backyard to enjoy the garden railroad Dennis had planned but was not able to execute. Thanks to the time and talent from the CCCGRS, the track was laid. Rachel’s uncle from San Diego and Uncle Joe from Tennessee added the finishing touches that bring the layout to life.
