108. Bitter Creek Western Railroad

The Bitter Creek Western Railroad is a privately owned 7.5-inch gauge railroad operated for the benefit of friends that like to play trains. The railroad includes 1.2 miles (9.6 scale miles) of mainline with many sidings and two rail yards across the scenic 7-acre parcel. Railroad facilities include fourteen steaming bays, a hydraulic lift and turntable. Along the route, visitors will find a car barn, bridges, trestles and tunnels. Most mainline switches are motorized with spring points. The Bitter Creek Western Railroad regularly hosts runs and regional meets. Public days are typically associated with fundraising events.
