Saturday was a perfect day in Orcutt for an autumn train run. Julie and Walt Wajda hosted this group event. We were delighted to share the day with good friends and family. Of course, trains were operating throughout the extensive J&W Railroad the entire time. The launch of the Delta IV rocket, clearly visible from the Wajda’s residence, was a special highlight of the day. Additional information regarding the launch from the aerospace engineers in our group added value to the occasion. The event was a perfect prelude to the forthcoming Central Coast Railroad Festival, during which seven large scale railroads will be open for viewing to the general public.
